The Board normally convenes annually, and is responsible for securing financial resources and approving the Institute’s annual plan and budget. It appoints the Director General, and confirms the appointmentof the Director of Research and the Financial and Administrative Director upon the recommendation of the Director General. The Board is responsible for ratifying the Institute’s policies, regulations and organizational structure, as well as for safeguarding the Institute’s independence and integrity in its pursuit of its mission and objectives.
