Economic and Social Monitoring
Economic monitoring is a key MAS activity, given that the Institute has been issuing periodic bulletins since 1997. MAS follows up on, and monitors, developments in Palestinian economic and social performance. It outlines their main influencers and trends, in order to enhance community awareness and provide early warning signs on the most important economic and social challenges.
Within this program, MAS prepares three economic periodicals:
- The Quarterly Economic Monitor (in Arabic and English), providing detailed and periodic scientific monitoring.
- The Palestinian Economic Bulletin (in English and Arabic), issued on a monthly basis by the British organization, the Portland Trust. It provides information and brief news items on various, current economic developments.
- The Food Security Bulletin on the Palestinian territories (in both Arabic and English), twice a year.
