Dr. Samia Al-Botmeh

Assistant professor of Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics at Bir Zeit University. She served as the Director of the Centre for Development Studies till 2014, and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Bir Zeit University. Before that, she worked as a researcher with the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS).

She earned her Ph.D. in Labor Economics from the School of African and Oriental Studies- the University of London. Her research interest and publications include gender economics, labour economics, and the political economy of development in Palestine.
