The Situational Assessment Report titled "The Destruction of Gaza's Telecommunications Infrastructure and the Eroded Internet Accessibility" provides a comprehensive analysis of the severe damage to Gaza's telecommunication sector caused by ongoing conflict and long-standing restrictions. The report, prepared by the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) in partnership with Global Communities (GC), highlights the impact of Israeli control over the frequency spectrum, the blockades' limitations on infrastructure development, and the destruction caused by the latest escalation since October 2023. With 75% of Gaza's telecom networks destroyed during the conflict, over two million residents were left isolated and struggling to access essential services such as telemedicine, education, and emergency response coordination. In response, unregulated small internet providers have emerged as a temporary solution, although they operate without legal oversight. The report explores pathways to formalize these alternative connectivity solutions, enhance regulatory frameworks, and invest in infrastructure rehabilitation. By identifying emerging opportunities and offering policy recommendations, the report aims to provide actionable insights for restoring and strengthening Gaza's digital resilience.

This report is accompanied by a Policy Brief, which provides a concise summary of the key findings and offers practical recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders.
