The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) Visits MAS
Monday, 2 March, 2015, Ramallah. In the course of their visit to Palestine, a delegation from The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS), led by RISS Director Dr. L.P. Rechetnikov, visited MAS this afternoon and met with Dr. Nabeel Kassis, Director General of MAS, and a number of MAS’s senior researchers. Among the delegation was E.V. Suponina, RISS Advisor, and other RISS researchers.
During the visit, the delegation discussed with MAS’s economists a range of economic and social issues pertinent to the Palestinian economy. They also discussed bilateral cooperation and means of moving full steam ahead on the MoU signed by MAS and RISS in May 2014. The MoU aims at producing joint research studies of mutual interest to the two institutes, organizing joint roundtables, and hosting researchers from the partner institute, in addition to creating conditions for a free exchange of opinions in the area of policy research.
