The session and the position paper prepared on this topic discuss investing in Green Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation and explore how Palestine can strengthen environmental and economic resilience through targeted green policies. It will begin by assessing the impacts of prolonged conflict and climate changes on infrastructure and resource sustainability, emphasizing widely observed challenges such as water scarcity and land degradation, which threaten both ecological and economic stability. Next, it will identify key challenges in integrating green infrastructure within short- to medium-term post-conflictrecovery plans. These challenges include occupation, lack of public policies, limited funding for sustainable projects, and establishing local capacities to manage green adaptation initiatives under socio-political constraints. Finally, the paper will outline policy priorities to essential for reinforcing economic stability and environmental resilience in Palestine, identifying feasible strategies for strengthening institutional frameworks focusing on practical steps for implementing green public procurement, expanding green infrastructure investments, and fostering green economy interventions.
